Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again.
Inbox: This could be my chance to shine
Hello again Mr. Workman,
It was a pleasure speaking with you moments ago. As we discussed,on Wednesday, March 3rd 2010, the Career Development and Advising Center here at [Redacted] will sponsor Industry Night featuring careers in ‘Game Design and Animation Technology’. Industry Night showcases a panel of individuals who share information about their careers with students. Each panelist gives an overview of their particular roles and experiences in the field followed by a question and answer period, and a networking session where students get a few minutes of one-on-one time with the panelist.
We are currently seeking two or three individuals from the ‘Game Design and Animation Technology’ field to participate as panelist. Please accept this request for speakers from the [Redacted] to consider joining us as panelist on Wednesday, March 3rd from 6pm until 7:30pm at [Redacted].Any consideration you may give this request is highly appreciated. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
Thank you very much and have a great weekend. So, a few years ago at PAX I was scheduled to do a panel on… hmmm… it was something about how to make a website blow up on the web or something. Hell, I don’t remember. Anyways, I ended up skipping PAX. So no panel. I had planned on very seriously doing a presentation on dick tricks. Yes. I planned on being in front of 100’s of people and doing a slide show presentation explaining cool shapes you can make out of you penis which will help you meet people and be remembered at parties.
This could be my chance to shine.
HIS WATCH IS NOT BROKEN AND THATS NOT A BABY BIRD HE WANTS TO SHOW YOU.
This is exactly the game myself and a few others have been wanting to make for like 2 years now. So awesome.
Beating a dead horse
Can we just buy the city of New Orleans the worlds biggest violin and get it over with??
UFC 109 thoughts

Ahhh yes. Another UFC PPV has come and gone. Build up for this card was…pretty low actually. A couple of these fights had potential to be good ones, but I don’t think anyone expected any classics. That being said, there were some memorable moments.
Surprise of the night:
This is easy. Chael Sonnen’s victory over Nate Marquardt was both surprising and kind of awesome. Marquardt is a BIG 185 pounds and always just imposes his will on every guy he fights, so I didn’t see Sonnen getting a victory here. The fight started out normal enough, about 2 minutes into they end up on the ground, Sonnen was in Marquardts guard trying to get some shots in when Marquardt lands an elbow on Sonnens head that opened up a gash that just flooded blood down on Marquardt.
If that sounds really gross, that’s because it was really gross. Sonnen must have bled on top of Marquardt for like 2 or 3 minutes before the round ended. By the end of the fight nothing had changed other than the cuts opened more and more blood was spilling. Sonnen dominated Marquardt in a great fight that dye white trunks red.
Cringe moment of the night:
Phil Davis took Brian Stann down to the mat and had side control when he started raining down knees to Stann’s ribs. One of the knees hit him HARD in the ribs absolutely flush, and the whole bar I was at did the loud, “ohhhhhh.” There is no way that guy is walking tomorrow.
And the buzz goes to:
It’s funny how after some of these fights, certain guys just get a lot of coverage and buzz after there fights. Tonight’s buzz goes to Randy Couture and Matt Serra. Couple reasons for this. Both guys are former champs considered by most to be past their prime. Both guys FINISHED their fights tonight. Finally, both guys were absolutely dominant against their opponents. When you have a card that has only 3 fights that are finished, the guys that do finish are gonna get the focus and that’s what will happen here. Serra landed shot after shot on Trigg until he finally got one that buckled Trigg and the KO soon followed. Two more fights like that and he’s getting a title shot, no question. Maybe even one. Depends on what GSP decides to do with his MMA career.
Randy Couture is just such a badass. Honestly, we’ll never have another guy as beloved as Couture or as popular. Granted he beat the crap out of another old guy, he REALLY beat the crap out of him. His uppercuts were what impressed me. His shots just LANDED. A lot of guys throw jabs that just seem to land on the other guys gloves as he blocks, but with Couture it’s like he knows where he’s punching and he’s going to land shot all fight. Randy Couture look awesome and really helped the UFC out AGAIN by ending the night with a great show on what could be considered a fairly weak night of fights.
UFC 110 is going to be insane. See you in 2 weeks.
Happy post-Cashwhore, pre-AIDS, Ron Workman
Butmac: True or False, when was the last time you remembered Ron being this…happy?
Dennis: haha that’s really funny I was telling Irena that I talked to ron last night and it’s the happiest I’ve seen him ever
